I have been longing to express myself through art recently. After watching several YouTube videos on acrylic painting on canvas, I decided to give it a try and see if I could bring my vision to life. I had an idea of depicting an emerald rock rising from a snowy landscape as a symbol of defiance against the dreary realities of winter. I must admit that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine was also on my mind as I created this piece. The emerald rock represents the tanks used by brave Ukrainian soldiers to reclaim their land, while the red and orange hues of the setting sun symbolize the bloodshed that has occurred.
